AircraftQ: How many seats are in your aircraft? A: Our aircraft can accommodate up to 8 passengers. BookingQ: Why do you ask my body weight? A: Island Express Air requests your body weight to most accurately fulfill Transport Canada Safety Regulations and to reduce the chance that a flight is overbooked due to the aircraft being loaded above safe parameters. Can I bring my pet with me?Pets are welcome at Island Express Air, but are subject to the discretion of the crew as the pet will travel inside the aircraft and other passengers must also be considered. Change and Cancellation policyCheck-inQ: How soon before flight time should I check-in? A: Island Express Air require all passengers to check-in at minimum 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Any passengers checking in later than 30 minutes risk loosing their ticket. Q: Do I need to show photo ID when I check-in? A: We do require photo ID for any passenger 16 years or older at check-in time. Q: Can I bring my pet with me? A great deal a very convenient as Quick-Tickets carry no travel restrictions and can be used by anyone anytime they fly. For more information on Quick-Tickets please see Quick-Tickets. A: See our Terms and Conditions Q: Do you permit transportation of firearms and ammunition? A: Firearms and ammunition are not permitted on the aircraft. PaymentQ: What is Island Express Air’s “HST” Registration number? A: Island Express Air's HST registration number is RT 83362 7896 ReservationsQ: Do you have a Change / Cancellation Policy? A: Changes made at least 24 hours prior to the flight are provided at no extra charge. Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to flight are non-refundable but will be replaced with a free flight credit good for 12 months. No-show tickets are non-refundable and no eligible for a flight credit. SeatingQ: Why am I sometimes asked to sit in a specific seat? A: To ensure our aircraft are properly loaded we sometimes request that you sit in a specific seat to ensure the safe operation of your flight. ServicesQ: Can I book a private charter? A: Yes. We would be pleased to discuss charters with you. For more information please see Charters. Q: Do you send freight or packages? A: Yes, Island Express Air offers freight and parcel service to its scheduled destinations and also to other destinations. Please call 1.888.856.6260 for rates. Q: How long is the flight? A: Flight duration can depend on routing and weather. In most cases, Flights between Abbotsford and the Island are 20-25 minutes, and between Nanaimo, Vancouver and Victoria are 15 minutes. A: Children under the age of 23 months may travel a no cost if they do not require a seatbelt and can sit on the lap of their guardian. Proof of age will be required at time of check-in (birth certificate or care card) Q: Do you accept passengers with disabilities? A: Yes, provided the passenger can walk through screening and climb three steps into the aircraft with limited assistance. Q: Are pregnant passengers permitted to fly? A: A woman at any stage of pregnancy is most welcome to fly with us. Women past 28 weks must consult a physician to obtain a written confirmation from their physician stating that they are fit travel and to reduce the chance the seatbelt will compromise the pregnancy, Island Express Air will make the decision on whether a pregnant passenger can fly.
